Like other automobile manufacturers, Daimler has standardized its steels in its own standards. These OEM steel standards are roughly presented below. All mentioned steel qualities can be made available by us for your specific project.
The BQF – source of supply approval – is a supplementary standard to MBN 11251 and must be complied with deliveries for the series production. In the BQF, certain steel mills and sometimes only certain lines of a steel mill are released for some steel qualities.
