It is characterized by a unique combination of high strength, toughness and hardness, which makes it ideal for a wide range of demanding applications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Properties and composition<\/strong><br\/>HDT1180G1 has a typical carbon content of 0.8 to 1.2 %, a manganese content of 0.5 to 1.0 %, a silicon content of 0.2 to 0.6 % and a chromium content of 0.5 to 1.0 %. These alloying elements contribute to the outstanding properties of the steel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mechanical properties<\/strong><br\/>The HDT1180G1 impresses with a tensile strength of min. 1180 MPa, a yield strength of min. 900 \/ max. 1200 MPa and an elongation at break of min. 4 or 5 %. The notched impact strength at room temperature is 40 J\/cm\u00b2. These values demonstrate the extreme strength and hardness of the steel, which make it suitable for the highest loads and dynamic stresses.      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Processing<\/strong><br\/>HDT1180G1 is relatively easy to form, weld and machine.
