The hot-dip galvanized steel S450GD in accordance with the EN 10346 standard is a high-strength structural steel that has been specially developed for demanding applications in structural engineering and building construction. With the material number 1.0233, S450GD has a minimum yield strength Rp0.2 of 450 N\/mm\u00b2 and therefore belongs to the highest performance level of hot-dip galvanized structural steels. Hot-dip galvanizing in accordance with EN 10346 ensures a uniform and resilient zinc coating that provides the steel with lasting protection against corrosion. Available coatings are +Z (pure zinc), +ZF (zinc-iron), +ZA (zinc-aluminum), +ZM (zinc-magnesium) and +AZ (aluminum-zinc), so that the material can be precisely adapted to different environmental conditions and stresses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Properties<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

S450GD offers an excellent combination of high strength, sufficient ductility and proven corrosion protection. The key mechanical properties can be found in the table above. These characteristics guarantee a solid load-bearing capacity even under high static and dynamic loads. The homogeneous microstructure of the hot-rolled base material ensures reliable dimensional accuracy and good weldability. The different hot-dip galvanizing variants also offer specific advantages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to its high strength and reliable corrosion protection, S450GD is used in a wide range of construction projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a minimum yield strength of 450 N\/mm\u00b2 and a tensile strength of at least 510 N\/mm\u00b2, the hot-dip galvanized steel S450GD in accordance with EN 10346 offers an optimum combination of high load-bearing capacity, formability and long-lasting corrosion protection.
