Daimler steel standards – Customized solutions for the automotive industry

Daimler, like many other leading car manufacturers, has developed its own steel standards to meet the high demands of modern vehicle construction. These specific OEM steel standards are designed to meet the individual needs of automotive production and guarantee maximum quality and reliability.

At the heart of the Daimler standards is the MBN series, which covers a wide range of steels – from soft, cold-rolled and hot-rolled steels to high-strength micro-alloys and multiphase steels. In addition to the MBN standard, the BQF (source approval) is crucial for series deliveries, as it ensures that only certain steelworks and production lines are approved.

We are happy to provide you with all the steel grades listed below for your projects – individually tailored to your requirements.

Overview of Daimler standards

MBN 11250 – Flat products made of steel for cold forming

The MBN 11250 standard defines a wide range of steel grades that have been specially developed for the requirements of cold forming. From mild steel and low/micro-alloyed variants to innovative bake-hardening and IF steels through to dual-phase, TRIP and complex-phase steels, this standard covers all modern steel processing requirements.

Your benefits:
The versatile properties of the listed steel grades, such as high formability, excellent strength and optimized material properties, make them ideal for use in demanding applications. All materials are available in various designs and grades for your specific projects.

If you have any questions about the steel grades listed or require further information about our products, please do not hesitate to contact us!
