Hot-dip galvanized steel S280GD in accordance with the EN 10346 standard is a high-quality structural steel that has been specially developed for use in structural engineering and building construction. With the material number 1.0244, S280GD has a minimum yield strength Rp0.2 of 280 N/mm² and thus joins the higher strength classes of galvanized structural steels. Hot-dip galvanizing in accordance with EN 10346 guarantees a uniform zinc coating on the steel surface, which effectively protects the base material against corrosion. Thanks to the various coating systems (+Z, +ZF, +ZA, +ZM, +AZ and +AS), the material can be precisely adapted to different climatic and mechanical stresses.

S280GD impresses with a balanced combination of high strength and good formability. The minimum yield strength Rp0.2 of 280 N/mm² and a characteristic tensile strength of at least 360 N/mm² ensure reliable load-bearing capacity even under dynamic load conditions.
