DC01EK is a specially developed cold-rolled steel manufactured in accordance with the DIN EN 10209 standard. This standard defines the requirements for cold-rolled flat products made of unalloyed quality steels intended for enameled applications. Due to its chemical composition and mechanical properties, DC01EK is particularly suitable for industrial applications where optimum adhesion of the enamel coating is required.

The chemical composition of DC01EK is optimized to ensure defect-free enamel adhesion. Compared to conventional DC01 steel, this material contains a lower carbon and sulphur content to minimize the formation of gas bubbles under the enamel layer.
The low sulphur content and the addition of titanium improve the adhesion of the enamel layer and prevent defects.

DC01EK has good cold formability and can be easily formed into various shapes without affecting the material structure. The mechanical properties are clearly defined in the standard. These properties make the steel particularly suitable for deep-drawing and bending processes, which are required for glass-lined products.
